- After billion years, earth's weaken gravity from loss of mass due to many reasons, earth has left the orbit. The previous human race, an insect human could not survive earth's extreme weather change and food deprivation. The next race was evolved from snail, which had successfully adapted to weather change, and was capable to hibernate. Earth's day and night cycle and seasons cycle was prolonged due to increased distance from the sun, and being able to hibernate allowed them to survive from the natural selection. However, they are still in need to find ways to keep them warm. Thankfully, the numerous generations of human race have left bits of creations before they went extinct. Also, some of them took advantage of empty exoskeletons of previous human races such as insect humans as their body. Their body have lost muscle tubes and flesh, which can be replaced with mechanical parts and it made perfect body suit for snail people.

Cool man, thanks for posting! I think first off the layout is nice; you have a nice, clear hierarchy of big to small shapes on each page. I don't think you have enough drawings though, i could be wrong, check with Luc. Other than that, i noticed you took a different approach, choosing many props of different purposes to iterate on. Next time try to come up with a single purpose to solve, then you can dig deeper into each iteration, coming up with more complicated ways to solve that problem. For example, I like the simple idea that they use their props to keep warm; i think you can focus down on that aspect, and come up with props specifically. How many different ways of keeping warm can you think of?
ReplyDeleteSome of the pieces don't read as tech for me, specifically in the heated shells. There is a little bit of a disconnect between your explanation that it provides heat vs the visual. I do like the idea that steam pours out of it constantly.
Lastly I think you can size up your drawings; there's alot of empty space and also lots of space taken up by walls of text. Make your drawings fill up the page and make the texts smaller and less important.
Love the snail people. Good work!
Thx Qiu!
DeleteI will try to approach deeper from there.
